Question SC300 won't start after warmed up

Whats up, I'm new to CL. I recently traded my ae86 for a 92 SC300. The SC won't start after it is warmed up. I drive to the store 3 minutes away from my apt and run into the store. 5 minutes later i jump in and start it and it slowly dies down from idle speed. It takes about 5-10 times to get it going again, after it gets going it runs perfect. I took it to a shop and they said it was an idle problem and did something with the idle position sensors. It made it worse for half hour. I unhooked the battery for a day and it ran fine after that, but continued to die after warmed up. Any help is better than it running like a ol' beater. Thanks

Default

Sounds like a fuel issue....first things first I'd change out the fuel filter....and if it continues to act up, the 12v fuel pump mod will prob help.

Thumbs up I found it!!

I was looking at other threads here in Club Lexus and found similar problems. I found out it is the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) or the Idle Speed Control off the throttle body. Was an easy fix, now my car starts every time even after flying down the freeway at 100+ it started right up afterwards. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ima...es/biggrin.gif
