Help With Touch Up Paint/Wax
I had some large places on the hood of my car which have "bubbled" and the paint has peeled. More than likely I will need to get the whole thing repainted but I figure I might as well try and salvage it so I bought some touch up paint. The color matches pretty well but the texture makes the spots very visible. I read on another thread that I could try and sand the spots flush then wax over them. My questions is what kind of wax should I buy for this type of application? After I sand the spots, which are are about 1/2" in diameter they should be flush with the rest of the paint just discolored and I need to blend them in.

I was told this was the process by this bodywork guy. He sanded down the spot to the bare metal. Primed spot let it dry. Paint let it dry. fine grit sandpaper wet and sanded it flush. put clear coat and let it dry. Wet sand with fine grit flush. He then took scratch remover and high speed grinder with buffer attachment and buffed it. It looked pretty good. It would show a little because there was no fine scratches in the newly repaired area.. but I guess the scratches will cat up. =)
