got bored...did some tire stretching

my buddy needed to borrow a pair of wheels for his supra. we had wheels but no tires. only pair of tires i found were 215/45/17 run flats.

only problem....its a 17x10.5 mustang wheel lol

this is the craziest stretch i have ever been a part of.

SH_JZZ30 01-01-10 01:02 PM

Damn was it hard to get it to bead with the run flats?

Biggu 01-01-10 01:18 PM

nice, I just bought a mounter and balancer yesterday so maby ill get in on this!

czar07 01-01-10 01:19 PM

wow thats pretty f'ing stretched lol

5sp_jzz30 01-01-10 01:24 PM

oddly enough that run flat stretched easier then other tires of wider size. go figure lol

lexdud 01-01-10 01:32 PM

Question: Isn't this a bit dangerous?

GZZ-TT 01-01-10 01:37 PM

nah... it's a run flat. haha

5sp_jzz30 01-01-10 01:38 PM

i dont know if its dangerous. not going to test it either lol. we needed wheels and tires to put on the car so we can roll it around. not for daily driving.

i have driven and drifted on 225/45/17 on a 17x10 without a problem or a worry on my mind.

this is the craziest stretch i have personally seen/done. maybe ill go for a drive and test it :)

just keep the tire pressure at like 40+psi and it will be fine

in the link it says hes running a 10" wheel with a 215.

either way thats one of the worst examples of "hella flush" i have ever seen.

there is a fine line between looking good and looks dumb. that is crossed that line like the brakes failing at a 100+ lol

sorry if its your friend and i offended him ;)

either way its a matter of opinions and you can do whatever you want to your own car.

if you wanna talk proper is300 look at Ill Rollers. AJ knows whats up. also 10" wheels but less offset and more tire. this way at least it can still have some kind of rear grip.

this is good:

I hear you.

He stretched the hell out of that tire and for what?
The car SITS ABOVE THE WHEEL/TIRE ANYWAYS!
I absolutely love stretched tires on wheels but this guy seems to have too baller of a wheel and too much stock metal.

Seems like he was dead set on fitting those wheels w/ stock metal no matter how much it WONT' work. Eh.

Poorly done, IMO.
