autoboy: how is ur widebody sc300 coming along?

SuprCilver: Yea I might regret it, there so many people doing a widebody sc now.. not so rare anymore.. but im driving the car to make me happy not impress the kids next door. Something so aggressive vertex ridge vs something more luxury AC kit is something to think about..

What I do notice is I get too many unwanted looks and people asking me about the car when I park its annoying lol... plus I park to go to the movie theater all I can do is think about the car being vandalized cuz its screams hey look at me!

the main reason i bought the car was for the engine the body work is just the plus.. so who know their might be a full vertex ridge kit in the classifieds soon.. i have had 3 widebody cars already so maybe this is the feeling i get now

my options that im thinking are... no canards/97+ bigwin lip (front bumper) /full AC Kit.

*shrug* ill sleep on it lol

Best bet would try to find someone that wants to swap for the stock kit or do that and give it a lip. I like stock looks... 2¢

I would take the canards off and get a spacer for the rear and get that wheel to sit flush! SICK SC

To be honest with you i scrape my widebody project cause i dont thinks its practical to be driving the car around and i kinda wanna enjoy the car.So i will be going with the clean route like similar with my old style with a little bit of kick into it

def remove the canards and the front will look 10x cleaner

imo what the setup needs is a set of 20in wheels .. any sc on a bodykit needs larger wheels to bring it all together and with a widebody even more so

the 19's look good but not great , they look lost in the widebody

20x9.5 up front 20x12 in the rear with a 4.5 to 5in lip would make the car 10000%

i feel the same way "practical to be driving the car around" even though the car just comes out on the weekends i just want something clean and nice... AC kit is looking more n more better right now..

Good luck trying to go from vertex widebody to AC, thatd be big downgrade/mistake.
I'm friends w/ the previous owner and saw this car all the time, the only thing i would change is shaving the fenders a bit and dumping it on more agressive wheels. And if you can't drive it around at that ride height, you need to learn how to drive a lowered car -_-

I think this just made my decision clear. Like I said this is my 3rd widebody car I know how to drive a lowered car lol I use to track and daily drive a widebody turbo integra and widebody turbo mr2 slammed anyways simplely put I don't want a car that is known to be someone elses car so I'm going go with my own style with this car and new paint you gotta pay to play with these toys to make it finally mine and not someone elses thanks for the advice

You know what? I have an idea. Get a 1997+ OEM bumper and a Vertex Lip if you insist on swapping bumpers. I think it will flow well with the side skirts and rears
