how wide are your rims right now? IMO kind of pointless getting a wide snow tires since all you're gonna get is a snowshoe effect

haha never...well there was this one time I went out for donuts, but that was it...I almost got stuck trying to go home.

If you're serious about getting around in snow, get some stock wheels and use 215/60-16 tires.

Or alternately 205/55-16.
I understand that narrower tires make more effective snows. Plus, of course, four wheel snows, not two.
I've driven my '92 SC400 12 months of the year, for the last 12 years. With traction control and a light foot, it does just fine.
