Default LS400 inner door handle sin an SC300

So my inside passenger door handle was broken in half when i bought my car. Knowing that i had to replace it but i've kept putting it off....so today i finally went to a local JY.

To make a long story short; there were no SC's in the whole lot...but i found an 1990 LS400 and when i looked at the inner door handles, they seem almost IDENTICAL to out SC inner door handles.

So i left the JY with a passenger side inner handle.

Now my question is, before i attempt to see if it fits...does anyone know if 1990 LS door handles bolt right up to the SC300 as a replacement?

no.

i'm not planning on taking anything apart. Hopefully i can unbolt the broken SC handle/lock housing and just bolt the whole LS handle/lock housing.

Only the door handle worked for me, you will need a grinder since the pin holding the chrome handle in place is slightly larger than the stock. The mechanism (holder) for the Ls400 was completely different than the stock.
Then again i used the handle from a 1992 or 1993 so it may be different

yeah, your exactly right. i tried fitting it today and the pin holding the chrome handle is larger than the sc300. i dotn feel like moddifying it so i'll just buy an sc300 handle and call it a day. I didnt really care for the chrome handles anyway. i'm more a function over form kind of guy.

oh well. it was worth a try.
