hey cl, i was wondering if i could jb weld my new pcv valve into my valve cover? the old one crumbled due to age and the little grommet thing fell apart as well and was very brittle, i cant seem to find a part number for the grommet and also at parts stores they dont really have anything that will fit, i had a breather in there just to plug the hole untill i got the new piece in but i thought it wouldve came with that grommet, any suggestion or advice is greatly appreciated
I bet you could find a rubber piece that would work at a hardware store.
i thought of that but wouldnt it need to be some kinda heat resistant, so it wouldnt crack and fall into the hole?? thanx though i dont really have any ideas myself thus far...
No jb weld for that please! Just get the right pcv valve grommet from toyota or a *good* parts store. I recently picked one up for my land cruiser from napa, they even had it in stock.
