Default How's the aftermarket seat department for this car?

The OEM seats in my SC are destroyed! The leather is totally screwed up beyond repair and there are even some small chunks of material that are no longer intact. Give credit to the previous owner.

I have seat covers on the car now so it looks pretty presentable.

Now seeing as how I REFUSE to have these seats on the car forever I figured I could trash them completely and get some other new ones that will save the car some weight as well as make the car look fresher.

So what seats are available or should I look at to replace my already busted seats and ease my car of some weight? I guess it'd be awesome if I didn't have to do any custom fabrication... What have you guys seen?

I have recaros in my blue sc300. The seats are like 4 inches lower than the stock ones.
I am a tall guy and i normally scrape the roof with my head. With the recaros I have plenty of room.

Lol damn, how tall are you

As long as they match the interior...I always thought aftermarket seats looked funny in cars with more than just two seats unless all the seats were aftermarket

doesnt realy qualify as aftermarket but i have jdm cloth supra seats in mine.... the passenger side is power

so really all you need to do is get a jdm passenger and a usdm driver and you got 2 lightweight electric function racing seats. IMO

I have seen some expensive leather covers that make me think that you have to disassemble certain parts of the seats to make the look flush?

I don't care about the assembly, but you can probably do the same for any other seat cover, right?

Yeah but those seats are real heavy. If I can put some new seats that weigh much less and look good, then I'd say I have one hell of a win-win. Especially for a car as heavy as this one.

You can put any seat in the SC. Rails are not as easy to come by as some Hondas and Nissans. Get them welded up.

Lot of folks use Supra seats also. Offer a bit more support than OEMs.

are these with supra rails and brackets or are they custom? very interested

for me i have Supra seats. I wish the back was a tad taller for me. A lot of riders have complained that the seats are too low for them, but i like them, being 6'5"

Any supra rails and brackets can be used in an SC, which opens up the seat market to basically "any aftermarket seat you want" Bride/Recaro/Sparco/Etc.

I really wanted supra seats but couldnt wait any longer to replace my rippeded up seats, got a set of 04 Hyundai Tiburon Seats for stupid cheap, and made some custom rails. They do sit about 3-4 in lower then stock. There not power But they hold you in better then the stupid split bench.
