Default More airflow under the hood?

Since finishing my na-t build I have noticed that the temps under the hood have gone way up as normal, but dont want a carbon vented hood.

Anyone have any suggestions to retain the stock hood, but improve airflow?

cut vents in it, or space up the rear. cooling panels help alot as well.

Yeah i saw something about rear hood spacing before and it showed a big decrease in underhood temps, i wrapped my manifold and downpipe in header wrap and it seemed to help, im also gonna get a blanket for the turbo soon you may want to look into those also.
Another thing that may or may not help is my 97 has the small grill in the bumper which im sure allows some air in, so a 97+ bumper could help a little???

I have my manifold and dp wrapped as well, and do plan on getting a blanket soon. But I think hood spacing, 97+ conversion and possibly some tasteful hood venting will be in store soon.

Get creative! I've always wanted to see someone attempt something like this for the high beam/s on an SC.

yeah my te72 corolla wasnt boosted but dual 45s would also get ridiculously hot, might have been just hawaii heat though but after the venting i could go for a long drive, pop the hood, and touch anything without fear of getting burned, excluding the headers

You might also try losing the skid plate underneath.

uh, NO. that will cause any air that does go into the engine compartment to push down to the pavement and not do you any good at all........
