The GS430 wheels look wonderful but the problem that I am having is finding a set of wheels on the used market. I check CL, ebay and Craigslist all the time and fail to find a set (at my pricepoint) that I like. The last set I found were NOT as advertised. The tires were all mis-matched and wheels not in the condition I was lead to believe.

So where do I procure a set of used OEM wheels with tires)? Where did you (if you have a set)?

I actually picked up a set of GS400 17s on a non local craiglist ad, the seller was more than willing to ship!

I have a set of 03' is300 rims on mine and i think they look pretty good for oem even though they are only 17's. You dont have to run super expensive aftermarket rims to make the car look better, just putting newer oem ones update the look of the sc and make it look alot nicer. I think those rims would look good on it. And for me just going to17's made a big difference. And not to mention by going with a lexus rim u know the quality is there compared to cheaper aftermarket rims.

The 17'' IS wheels fit with no issues whatsoever, I think they look ok.
Here they are on my Soarer TT.

As said by others previously, 'way ahead of it's time.' Doesn't look too bad for 18 years old and better equiped than most modern luxury cars. Digital dash, overdrive switch, TEMS, ultrasonic mirrors, etc.

My only small issue with the theory of preserving them as 'standard' is the fact that they came with so many options, it seems to me that the designers intended for them to be personalised at least to some degree.

Unless intended for the track, perhaps the trick is to do it sympathetically. A path I may have wandered from.

i would be very surprised if you couldn't score a set in the wheels/tires classifieds section. Just check often, I'm sure you'll find what you are looking for eventually... GL!
