Solution to Short Mount SC300's!

so i decided to help out ultra mount aka creative steel to make some solid mounts for our sc300's with short mounts. all short mounts for our cars/ mkiv can use this as an alternative rather then those who dont believe in hockey pucks. na-t guys, these favor you.

oem style:

reason why i got them? my oem mounts looked like thise after the stress of drifting.

so i got these aluminum solid motor mounts made for my 92 5spd sc300 by ultra mount/creative steel

i just tested these out today. car feels much more solid, direct bolt on. they used a single solid piece stud to increase the strength of the mount. not two ends like the oem version.

aluminum or polyurethane. so just pm me if you guys are interested! [ultra mount doesnt have a website available just yet]

note mods/cl members: i am not selling these, i am not a seller of this product, i am not a vendor, but i helped ultra mount/creative steel make these mounts available for us. no one sells them as far as i know.

Cool mod, but wouldn't it be fair to mention to the community how these transmit considerably more noise and vibrations to the cabin?

well of coure you hear more noise and vibration since it is solid. i forgot to mention that, but i figured most people already knew.. haha thanks for looking out on the community that doesnt know!

very cool mod. How much increase would you say. Enough to no longer make it fun to drive on the street. It is not my DD.

Cool solid mounts but there are also the Phr solid ones available as well;

I run solid mounts in my drag car. Slightly more vibration

i believe those red mounts are from powerhouse. they are mde only for the tall mount, short bracket.

this is why the mount i help make, is for our sc with those of SHORT mounts.

powerhouse mounts = long mounts. and they have an angled stud, wont work on tall brackets

tall bracket - short mount

or the short bracket - tall mount.

That's a good observation as the photos and my wording both say they are from Powerhouse.

You are correct though they are for use only with the short bracket. I don't even mess with the tall brackets. Work fine in my SC.

Cool product you came up with though!
