Driverside window won't go up

I searched but was unable to find anything exactly similar to my problem. I was able to roll the window down and when I tried rolling it back up, nothing.

It doesn't make any noise, just sits there. Sounds like something is unplugged but I checked everything and it looks all good.

It sounds like your motor took a crap. My window stopped rolling up too, but i could still hear the motor working. I can make the regulator go up and down, but the glass doesn't move it just stays down. Look into it, the window regulator breaking on our cars is quite common, and unfortunately not cheap to fix. If your motor is good, but the regulator is broken, it will cost you anywhere from $100 to $175 to get another regulator. If it's the motor, you are looking at about a $500 fix. Search around and get other opinions, but I think your motor might be bad. It could always be a wiring issue, though. Fingers crossed, hope that helped a little.

mine did the same thing you did. its just the regulator. if you push the button and you can still hear the motor trying to move. then its not the motor

get a new regulator and itll work as new.

I bought a brand new regulator and my window still won't go up and barely will it go down. Press the button and the motor sounds like it's trying it's hardest to move the window but nothing. Tonight I undid the window from the regulator and the motor was unable to move the regulator slider.

Sounds like the motor is toast to me but what do you guys think?

motor definitely, cuz it takes almost nothing to move the slider alone. a gerbil with a running wheel could get it up without motivation lol.:D

i have a motor, 50 shipped.

I had similiar problem.

Please check your wireing between your door and the body with the door completely open before you start buying parts. In older SC's and all older cars the wires on the driver door side breaks and this is easy to find if you take a good look.
