Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .
Finally driving now, going to paint and put wheels on soon,
will get the 3 digit number on the lower portion of the door tag when I have the opportunity, but here it is last week.

Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .

Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .
JT8CD32Z7V1000088, #40 on your list, was my baby from 72k miles to 115k miles in 2006/7 until 2011. Sold to member 'SEXC' on here, but he's not particularly active on the forums, so I don't have any more updates. Same area of CA, though, so it looks like it's still in his possession (with less than 10k miles put on it in 8 years(!!)).
I've regretted selling that car literally every day for the past 8 years.
I'm back because last week I bought a 1/17 RSP/Black '97 SC400.
How do you know that there were only 17 RSP 1997 SC400 ? I kept asking where people are getting the breakdown of SCs by colors but no one so far have mentioned a reliable source in I don't how many years I have been asking . Where people are pulling these numbers from has always been a mystery to me !
It will be nice to find the source or database of SC production by colors . I have been in search of that source for a long while now !
I actually spent a good bit of time looking for that source myself since I bought the car. I don't have a definite source. Last time I was involved, there was a thread/master source with solid production numbers, but I searched and searched and was unable to relocate it. Apparently there used to be an "Intellexual.net" site that had the production numbers, too, but that site is no longer active. For that 1/17 number, I found 5-6 separate places on CL and elsewhere that mentioned there only being 17 RSP/Black SC400s, but I suppose I can't back that up with a really reliable source. Sorry!

. As long as we set our priorities always straight , everything will be all right .All these are material things that will pass and even us will pass . We can't own them forever. Let me know who owns it now and I can update the list .
