History Table for the Soarer Model: JZZ31 3.0ltr -> month and year a car rolled out of the factory by their VIN (serial #)


Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .

In the chart you grabbed from wiki the (120) means manuals in 97 model year. The number of autos that year is the larger number 2509. US numbers were based off model years and Japan numbers are based off actual years

^^^ if you have a carfax or autocheck account and be able to check the list , maybe you can list those that have been totaled so we can put a note and thus have a rough estimate of how many are still with good title . We have almost 90 on the list .

I doubt that half of the 120 still have clean titles meaning not salvaged or totaled. It has been 21 years .

Though the carfax report seems to be older than post #355 which was 11/16/12 ... so our original note might be the one that is right and it was never reported to carfax as a total loss.

Whenever I have some free time, I will update info on our list based on what is on Carfax so we know exactly what is going on with these original 5 speeds Model 1997 . For the current owners of these cars , you are free to submit your complete VIN and let us know its current location, mileage and title status of the car .

Thanks a lot ThomasGS4 for helping us update info on these cars . Hopefully .. will help make these cars valuable and desirable , being one of the few who owns a 1 of 120. I know a good number of the current list are not anymore owned by the person on the list but unfortunately the current owner either isn't a forum member or simply never claimed that he owns it now and the former owner never mentioned that he sold it .

Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .
