Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .

Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .

I wonder if that brochure page from the Lexus Knowledge Center was made when they started selling the 1997 models in 1996 which means that they knew only 120 manual SC300 will be manufactured . That means, the 120 includes the model 1997 produced in 1996.
OR ... was it produced in 1997 and they knew that they were only producing that much 5 speed in 1997 .
OR ... was it after the fact brochure ? Still curious ... though the production table indicates Calendar Year Production.
Having 79 Model 1997 SC300 5 speed accounted for seems like a pretty good percentage already. Hopefully one day , we get nearer the actual production number.

the model pictured still has pre-97 bumpers, tails, and spoiler.. seems to have 97+ skirts and rear fender lip tho. not a mistake i think they'd make 5 months into production
also, when looking up JT8CD32Z7V1000382, the site listing the shell for sale lists "Manual Conversion $1,000 pedals (clutch, brake)" on its listing... so it's not really a 1/120 then, is it?
