Here lately my 99 sc300 has been having a power window issue. It began as just making a buzzing sound when you pressed the switch to roll the window up or down. It would roll up and down sometimes and sometimes it would just make the buzz and nothing would happen. Now my drivers window is stuck 1/2 way down and it seems as if the problem has got to the point where it will not roll up or down anymore. Any idea what to check? I dont think it would be the motor or the relay

 

02type-s my switch is doing the same thing i took my car to a friends friend today he took my window switch out and tried another switch from a sc did the same buzzing noise so he told me that it could be a wire by the door hinge area probably a ground wire well i will go and check the wiring out i'll let you know if it's the problem.

 

My window stopped working one day. When i would hit the switch it would make a click sound inside the door so i thought it was the switch. Replaced it and had no luck. Then i plugged a new reg into the harness to test it and it worked. Before i pulled my old reg out i plugged it in just to see what would happen and it worked. Just try unplugging your harness that goes from the switc to the reg and hopefully this will work. I have a 92 sc300.

 

Hey was up i checked the wiring in the door hinge it was a white wire with a black stripe that was cut.I just solder it back up and the window is working fine well hope this helps goog luck.
