OK just go this thing a few weeks ago(1992 SC300) and while I become a little mod freindly with I have a annoying problem and thought I'd seek advise here 1st. My interior trunk release won't work at all, the gas door release works fine and I remember the trunk release worked likethe 1st day just never has worked since. Any ideas, fuse's, relay or is it simply cable driven?

 

Its electric, if I can remember I think it has a key lock next to it? If it is pushed in the trunk won't release. Unlock it with the master key and then the switch should work saying it is that style. If the elcetric portion doesn't work check to see if your getting power to it when pulling the switch. Use a voltmeter to help you out.

 

yea I already checked to make sure the key didn't de-activate it, now guess I will check fuse able links and the fuse panel.

 

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!!!! try the valet lock. you feel kind of stupid when you turn your key in there and then the trunk release works lol
