tint. again. :hs: i really cant get away with anything in CA. I thought by going from 35 to 45%, i'd be okay
the cop's partner also told me my exhaust was illegal, although the only mod i've done to that is magnaflows. I showed him the smog certificate, and he said
"well..if it's legal, why can I hear it?"

As much as I love California, I would have a tough time dealing with those car laws. In GA, you can do pretty much w/e you want, and on one gives a ****. I run around with AEM, single turbo, no cats, 5% tint, etc. Just wondering though, what do the Supra guys who have single turbo setups, and 800+whp cars do that live out there?

Again! Im glad I dont drive around Campbell or Saratoga. I bet the police in that area know you by name. I wouldnt want to deal with that kind of hassle over tint. I completely peeled mine off all my windows.

I got popped for no front plate and tint (35%) by this guy a few months ago.
Now his sits just under the back side of a hill in my neighborhood yanking people 3-4mph over. 25mph limit. Took this today off my deck.
City will get revenue in my neighborhood, but wont plow it because of brick pavers at every intersection. BS!!!
I'm so sick of the BS tickets. They would have a field day with your car out here.

Thanks. Soccer Mom City plopped in the middle of Tornado Alley. Should make this spring interesting.
Middle class minvan driving baby factories gives the po-po nothing to do. So they nail everyone for crap tickets. Funny thing, he pulled someone over about 20 mins after I took this pic. While he's standing there lecturing the guy for whatever he did. A modded GTO cracked off a 2nd gear pull right in front of him. The neighbor and I were laughing so hard the cop could hear us.

Also it should be noted we get a LOT of tourists in California. So cops are on the pawl for an out of stater breaking a traffic law. Like they will follow you, waiting for you to make a mistake so they can bust you.

Here is the tricky part about car laws. You have to follow the laws in the state you are in. For instance if you are 16 and have a valid drivers license in your state. On day you cross borders into another state. Depending on which state you enter, you might no longer have a valid license since some states only give lic. to people 18+. I think emissions is the one loop hole to this policy. So I think they would be able to get you an illegal window tint, after all your car is in their jurisdiction.

I couldnt imagine being busted for 45% tint. I was pulled over the other day for expired tags (i spaced it) and they warned me for no front plate but never even mentioned my 20% tint. (35% is the limit in Oregon)
