Anyone know when they changed the types of needles for the speedometer, etc. on the sc300?

I know they were the same for '92 and '93, but was would just like to know when they changed. It seems a lot of people have trouble with the older style needles.

 

I've got 108000 miles on my SC and Haven't had a problem with the needles. It's not a big deal really. It's just an annoyance that gets blown out of proportion, because on this site, people like talking about problems and how to fix them... The best part is, people DO fix them, we just don't talk about it. Go ahead buy an 92 SC300 5sp and turbo the mother for short money ($7000)

Then go around handing doors back to ignoramouses ("only a lexus") after you blow them off their hinges.

 

attached below is a pic from a 2000 sc400 (even the Nakamichi lights were blue). I don't know exactly when the change occured, but i think it happened in '98 (new engine, interior) or '97 (body style changed).
