Are you sure he's not referring to the fog lamps? I'm pretty sure that's what he means by square. I guess he saw the 97+ fog opening and for sure he'd say it won't fit seeing that the 95 fog opening is different. Make sure it's not a misunderstanding between the headlight and fog light and you made it known right off the bat that you're not re-using your fog assembly on the 97+ bumper.

 

Bingo - my body shop made the SAME error - I had to point out that of course they're not going to fit.....

 

I think this problem is solved. Tell him to leave out the fogs....he should've known better imo.

 

yeah I think so too. I am going up there tomorrow after work...so I will tell you the details then. (There isnt anything else that is "round" and/or "pointy" lol

 

So after I got off work I proceeded directly over to the shop with my co-worker/friend and awaited to see my bumper in the shop and was thinking of how to explain (without embarrassing him) that the bumper will fit. I pull up to the shop, see my fender fixed (which i asked him to do) along with my door/window pillar (it was chrome and black chipped) I stroll to the front...HOLY #$%^ My bumper is on!! YES!!! I walk up to him excited and appreciative. (in the back of my mind I'm like #%&@! I paid off a couple bills with the money I had saved to give him if he completed the job (as he did)). Thank goodness I had just enough to pay him (Because I was NOT leaving without my car!) Just got home here are the pics...







And YES HE MEANT THE FOG LIGHTS DIDNT FIT...EVEN THO I EXPLAINED TO HIM I WAS AWARE THEY WOULDN'T. NEXT FOGS AND GRILLE
