Default wiring diagram, steering wheel replacement.

I just replaced my steering and was wondering what this plug is for?

I also removed the reel that surrounded the main hub. I'm thinking i should put it back without the center piece that rotates in order to utilize the plug.

I have an airbag error light, but I have the diagram for that. The only thing is my horn button doesn't work. I'd like to know how to wire that up.

If you remove that swivel thingy your turn signal stick wont work right(experience, lol)

You (we)will need to install it somehow where it doesnt hit the steering wheel.

there are two little notches in the middle of the hole ,that plays a role in your turn signal joystick...or whatever you call it,lol

THat is the clock spring and carries the wiring for the cruise control, airbag and horn into the wheel.

If you remove it you will need to figure out how to wire your horn up some other way.

Matt.

really? So far it's been working like normal? I haven't had a problem yet.

I guess Ill find a way then. Im not too worried about not having cruise control or airbag. As far as the horn goes, you never know what you got 'til it's gone.

unplugging that will remove power from the air bag circuit long enough to set an air bag code.
