Default difference between supra shocks/springs?

So its time to start looking at new suspension components and I dont want anything too wild. Ive heard good things about using OEM supra shocks and springs and Ive got a hookup at Toyota so this is the most logical route for me. While looking at parts prices I noticed there were 3 different options: n/a supra, turbo with manual trans, and turbo with auto trans. Whats the difference in shocks/springs between these if any?

i believe that the OEM NA springs have a softer rate than the TT springs. A few people got the NA springs and had a slightly lower drop than the TT ones. TT springs should have the same rate either auto or manual.

O ok, cool. I thought thats what I had read but i wasnt sure. The shocks cost the same for both n/a and turbo but the springs are priced different depending on whether its n/a or turbo and if its manual or auto.
Does anyone know how much of a drop it is between n/a and turbo?

Not sure the difference in drop but I have supra tokico shocks and supra eibach springs and this is my drop. Feels so comfy and the care handles soooo good. This might be the drop your looking for. No rubbing whatsoever so you won't have to worry about that and this is a good example for you since mine is a 97+ like yours. No finger gap in the back and 1 finger gap in the front.

thats real clean. only thing is I have the 16" stockies and dont plan on getting new rims for awhile. I just dont want the wheels looking to small in the fender with too big of a drop, if that makes sense

Awww I hear you on that one. Yea that would look a bit off since you still have 16" rims still. If that is the case I believe any one of the supra struts and springs will give you a 1 to 1.5" drop which will not be as low as mine but will look pretty good and still fit your stock rims.

I like that setup as well. I'm riding on LS430 wheels and I need a drop bad. Think I might go that route.

Yea I would tell everyone hear on CL to check the classifieds on supraforums and look for the suspension there. Everyone is selling every kind of setup possible and if your lucky you can get a real sweet deal.

Hey PRS, what do you think the outcome would be sitting on 19s? I need new shocks and springs badly and was thinking going this route. Input?

I'm not 100% sure on this one but I think you should be ok if you go this route with 19's. The only thing is you might have to mod the fender lining a bit since it may rub. If your not going to run spacers then you should be ok with the lite fender work but if you plan on going the spacer route also you may have to pull the fenders. Depends on the look your going for. Hope this helps.

word, thanks man. I'm alright with rolling the fenders, small price to pay for the stance.

Agreed...if you are patient enough and roll the fenders the right way the stance is absolutely perfect in the end

What's up guys...............does anybody know the height difference between the supra and Sc300 oem shocks? I was wondering if I install my SC eibach pro-kit springs onto the supra KYB shocks.........would it sit lowering than having it on the oem Sc shocks?

I personally thought about going that route and it would work in theory but its a bad idea Reason for saying that is because the supra shock specs don't match up well with the SC spring specs so you will have a very bad ride feel if you know what I mean. Search either in this particular section or in the main SC forum section about supra springs and shocks and there should be some discussion on this from earlier attempts. Believe me the SC springs will lower the car maybe 1 inch at most and it hardly looks any different. You want to get supra shocks and springs.
