Handles the snow great, but I hate to think what all that salt is doing!

I try to avoid driving my SC in the rain, so hopefully it will never see snow.

Thanks. ASA JH8's. Yeah it was unexpected to say the least...

I drive it in the snow. Whenever we get it. Its not too bad. I got the rear to slide out from under me once, but I recovered it. That was 2 years ago with my SC4

Default traction

I have noticed a bad characteristic and I think that is where the 400 gets bad press. The V8 is torqey and the throttle is sensitive but that takes finess. When you first start the engine iy goes into fast idle and that is waht is screwing the pooch. At fast idle you have really fast throttle response and almost cant start out. Lots of spin. Let her warm and things tame down a lot. Still a handfull but I pass Jeeps and SUV's and Volvos on the freeway in thre inches of pack doing 40. Yes, you have to pay attention.

Skinny tires work best in the snow(look at rally cars)

i drive a 92 sc3 with no traction control. last winter i rolled on yokohama 245 all seasons in the rear and got stuck 4 times just trying to go uphill on heavily driven roads. need less to say, the car sucked in snow.... but this year, got a pair of hankook 215 snow tires, and now i might take her out on the lake for ice fishing this year.... f***er is like a rally car now, just with snow tires and a full tank of gas

I have an SC300 5 speed and it sucks worse than any other car I have owned and driven in the snow. Matter of fact I spun out on the highway going only 25 and smashed my whole right side in in the snow last year. So I will not be driving in the snow in my car any more.

Scraped my bumper when slidding into the wall on the high way at 5 mph. I'm glad it was a large exit I was taking and all the counter steerings, my car could have been f at 40 some mph.
