Default Dupont Registry Stock 1992 SC300

I was checking out Dupont Registry (magazine of fine cars) and they had a 92 SC300 in immaculate and stock condition. If anybody could post a picture of it that would be great. It had wheels that you rarely see anymore but is in nearly new condition.

I found the web address of the car, $7200 (doesn't list miles but probably first owner so 75-150k).

http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/...?itemid=509369

post pictures of other non-modded stock SC's here. no modded cars at all. There can be no changes whatsoever to the car; not wheels, audio, nothin.....

my 97-4 with no modded parts what so ever. 140,000 miles

the most worthless 5sp i have seen in a long time. you can find a 92 sc300 5sp in okay shape for anywhere from 1000-2000. imagine what you can do with the remaining 5200? replacing the whole interior will be under a 1000 since its tan and not white. wheels are "rare" and they are crap anyways. so a nice set of Enkei RPF1's in 18x9.5+27 and 18x10.5+15 will run you another 1100. 1jz swap will cost you 2000-2500. suspension will run you 1200 for some stances. the remainder on so body work.

so the grand total:
car- 2000
1jz- 2000
stance coilovers- 1200
wheels/tires- 1500
that leaves 500 for body work

so you can either get a bada*s looking, fast sc.....or that ^^^^^^^^^^

Thats not the point of his post. The car in Dupont is practically new with all original equipment. Some people dont want a modded piece of **** when they can have a factory original car in prestine condition.

Where can you fine a OK( what ever that means) 5 spped for 1000 to 2000.
Let me know.

Anyways sweet car but depends on the miles. IF it has over 100K i think it too much. under 50K its a steal.

I agree for the most part. Personally I think that the sound of a no hassle, completely stock, SC300 5-speed sounds better than a modded out 1JZ 5-speed SC... To each their own, but I have nothing against the people who mod their cars for performance. I don't think calling those people's cars "a piece of ****" is necessarily the route I'd take, just not your thing either it sounds like. No need to get offended at the other person's response.

That aside, the car is very nice and am sure the new owner won't be disappointed with it. My SC400 is very lightly modded now, but having a bone stock 300 5-speed would be a ton of fun.

my buddy bought a 92 for a 1000 a month ago. t70_supra got a 95 for 2000 a week ago.

i worked on a TF customers car. pristine condition 92 sc300 5- with enkei nt03 19" and body kit. hard top too. he paid 3500. that same guy had a 95 sc300 5sp he got for 3000.

last two cars mentioned were immaculate. the first two need some work.

the point is that they can be found if you look hard enough.

That car is definitely worth the asking price. It may sound a lot for someone who is looking to purchase their first SC, but anyone who has bought a car and found things in there and wondered "what the hell were they thinking" can appreciated an unmolested car.

For $7200, one can almost guarantee that the car's got a good 100k miles on it.

Just curious, did the SC 300 not have the useless fold-out cup holder on the center console?

i noticed that as well. he said that he had done some overall of the electrical systems so maybe he didn't put it back or just left it out.

In terms of the $7200, it seems for that price that it would be AROUND 100K miles.

It does look like it's in excellent condition...I bet it looks good in person...I used to read and look at Dupont Registry all the time...mostly looked at in the store and rarely bought it...some sweet exotic cars in there.
