Scott, your interior is an inspiration to all! It looks better than a lot of the interiors coming out of brand new cars today! Great job!

Just stumbled on this interesting thread so thought I would add a couple of work in progress pics....Almost completed installing the audio, sat-nav and cameras.

I was about to tidy up the centre console and screen surround with new foam and vinyl etc when new thoughts of a Carputer with touch screen halted progress. So now I need to change things around to fit it in.

Today I started playing with Centrafuse and the touch screen, hence the temporary cabling.

nice head unit. the old alpine cda-7998. i dont know if its called the same over seas. there were two models. the cda-7897 that had a built in speaker amp and the cda-7998 that was a "dead head" amazing sound for the money. i have had mine in 4 cars so far in almost 6 years. i dont know about all those screens though. do really NEED all that? lol

Yeah the Alpine 7998R takes some beating for SQ. In the TT it's linked to a rare Calibre 6400 amp with Soundstream internals. There are some MB Quart QSDs in the doors.

In the V8 I installed my first 7998R with a Soundsteam 805, Audio Control System 90 Centre channel and some Diamond Hex 600s. That one had a few unnecessary screens too.

It's a shame the 1JZ isn't OBD2 as it would be easy to connect it to display real time values in the form of user defined gauges on the VGA screens. I use the AV screens for TV, DVD, sat nav and cameras. The computer can be connected to the internet via high speed 3G and pick up all sorts like weather, traffic camera feeds, Club Lexus etc.

Here's the old V8 dash, my favourite vehicle, alas now sold and replaced with a GS430.

I was just about to post, you beat me to it. KITT w/ the Hass.

JGScott's got a tach embedded into his cluster, besides the custom center surround.
