I'm back with a new SC
Well guys, i know the regulars Seen me buy a teal auto 95 SC300 in Feb of this year, 1JZ swapped it a couple months later, Tein Coilovers, Rims, only to end up selling it a week or so ago.. Well I ended up buying another SC, from a fellow CL member, the car was loaded onto a trailer in southern cali today on it's way out to South Carolina to me :)
I miss my teal but i have always wanted a black interior 5spd and a 97+exterior so now i have it, and of course i'll be boosting this one as well, i'm planning on doing a 1.5JZ swap this time. the car looks fantastic as it is, and the previous owner has put some awesome parts on it.. but of course i have to make it my own :) I really like subtle looks so i'll probably be losing the CF parts and adding a front lip, maybe changing the wheels out for CCW's but i'll hold onto the volks for awhile at least :) first things are clean up the headlights and find a oem hood. i'll do a photoshoot once the car arrives and i lower it back down (had to be raised for shipping :) only pics i have this sec are from HKSc300's sale ad so here's just one, i'm sure the so cal guys will recognize it. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...x/IMG_0655.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3.../Interior1.jpg http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...IMG_0651-1.jpg and one of my old 1JZ sc just cause i miss it lol :p http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i1...t/DSC_0029.jpg |
I'll take the carbon trunk :) lol
The new car looks sweet... I've got a '92 with a Wise lip and I still want a kouki bumper...debating, lol. |
i knew youd come back:p
|
lol i planned on going back to a 240 or integra like i had before, but after having the lex, everything else just seemed kinda small and generic. I love tegs and 240's but I think toyota/lexus just builds such solid cars, the interiors are so much nicer and more comfortable.. I figured this time i'd come back with a black interior and 5spd :) i paid $3200 for my teal SC trying to find a cheap one to swap, this time around i was able to get something nicer to start with..
yeah you called the "comeback" though lol i didn't think it would be so soon, i put a deposit on the red car 3 days after selling my teal one! |
Welcome back Paco. Your new SC looks great and it looks like it might be able to hold your attention a little longer then 6 months this time around! Looking forward to seeing the build up.

You should just paint the CF unless it doesn't fit 100% Congrats, man
|
Nice. Looks good
|
youre back?....you never left. youre an addict now. it took you like 2 weeks and you had withdrawal symptoms. weak...i mean great you back :)
the car looks great. if you will be getting rid of the carbon stuff i might want the hood and trunk :) do the 1.5jz all the way. so much more torque. 1jz is great....in a 240 with less weight to tow :) |
That car is sick! You'll definitely enjoy this one a lot more!
|
wow that looks dope, congrats
|
trust me keep the carbon fiber trunk and hood atleast....you are saving alot of weight

Car looks great man i couldnt stay away from the SC either i sold my 95 5speed and bought an IS300. Now I'm back where i belong in my new 97 5speed SC. Congrats on the purchase and I'll take the volks from you I want to get rid of my SSR's later, Curt

Nice! Paint the CF. but leave it on there =)

thanks for the comments guys, i kinda like the trunk my main concern with the hood is, i've heard horror stories of them flying up without hood pins and i refuse to put hoodpins on my car i just hate them (unless it's a race car) mine isn't. otherwise i would just paint the hood, i think CF stuff looks nice, i just prefer a more conservative look on my personal car.
also i don't like not having my hood dampners, if someone has a red hood in good condition i might be intrested in a trade. I'm gonna hold onto the rest of the stuff although i'm not a big CF guy i think the trunk is pretty cool with the cf wing on it.. previous owner definetly bought quality parts, car also has HKS hipermax Coilovers, Greddy MX exhaust, and E39 hid retrofit which are all definetly staying on the car lol |
Good stuff buddy, glad to see you back!! Sweet Car.
