Hey guys, i have a little issue.

I'm dropeed on Espelir Springs and TT shocks, and I recently put on my 19x9.5 HP Evos with 285/35/19 Goodyear F1s. this caused major problems with rubbing in the rear, as the fender is about 1/8"away from hitting the actual wheel. I've never driven the car, cause I don't want to kill my new rims and tires.

What's the best way to FLARE, not roll, the fenders?

I'm not concerned with the bodywork involved, because I'm repainting th car soon, I just want the fenders flared to set off the look of the car, and for the wheels not to rub.

Anybody know of a good method to FLARE, not roll the fender?

i have access to a fender roller, but the Eastwood website says it should not be used for rolling. I've seen the diy fender rolling vid on YouTube, but it doesnt say anything about flaring.

Any help would be apreciated.

Star08 did you not read the whole point of him making this thread? He needs his **** pulled, not rolled.

Most shops that work on "drift cars" will be able to pull your fenders and hopefully not mess up the body. I'm not sure how pulling SC quarters does, because I know on S13 coupes, when you pull the fenders it creases right above the wheel well.

Well, there aren't any shops around here, and I'm more on the DIY side of things, as I'd like to learn how to do it, rather than have it done.

Some people said they have used the fender roller to flare fenders, but I'm still learning more about it.

Yeah I've heard a fender roller can do mild pulls, but from my experience on my 240SX it didn't pull at all...uhmmm people on www.zilvia.net know a lot about that stuff, I might take a look around there, there's probably some stuff about pulling on there.

1) get universal fender flares and cut your panel

2) use the eastwood fender roller and use it to pull the fender.... pulling is just extreme rolling...

Don't wanna go for the widebody look, though, and i want to use my stock fender.

get a Fender Roller
Roll your fenders FIRST.. then KEEP on going and pull your fenders.. thast what i did on my honda.. i pulled my front fenders.. >.> one side came out horrible cause it was my first time and i made a few boobboo.s.. the other side came out just great!

Roll your fenders perfectly flat.

Then take a stack of newspapers and place them on top of the tire. Compress your suspension all the way by having people sit slowly in the car and having some others climb into the trunk.

This will pull the fender out past the tire.

The more paper that you use the bigger the space that will be created between your fender and tire.

Good luck I hear SC fenders are a pita to work with

about how much paper? Wouldnt the paper just bend and compress?

yes it will bend and compress that is why you need a stack.

The more newspaper you use the further the fender will be from the tire.
