At 43 I decided it was time for a FUN CAR. So I started renting various rides in cities and was going to buy a Corvette or a z28. That was until I rode in both cars. They were too small for my rather large self. Fast yes, but I still could not fit in them.So I watched the for sale section and saw a sc3 . Took a drive down to Sarasota and test drove. I fit in it and was happy with the way it rode. I did my research and realized it was a fantastic car. I have done some upgrades , Tires and wheels , suspension work , window tint etc. The gas use is all relative as I own a f150 and a Expi . So I am happy with the app. 21mpg. The car still get looks when I drive it around town. My kids are getting older so I do not need a bigger car ,and I enjoy the weekend drives with the wife.Sumo

I picked the SC because it was the best looking new car on the road.

I've been looking at my neighbor's SC for the past 5 years and last year she decided to sell it. Sold MR2, talked her into selling the parking slot where it sat and now have 3 parking spaces and an SC

I was in the market for a new car and I liked the way my friends 92 400 looked. I took out a loan for like 11 grand to buy his car and do everything I wanted to it. He ended up giving it to his sister but in the process I found my 97 Black on Black. I agree with everyone else about the HP potential. There is just something about having a luxury car that could run laps around all the little rice rats in my town.

Not that I would bother with that, but its nice to know you can at any time.

I've owned 4 MKIII supra turbos, then an integra, than a tl, and I really wanted to have something like the supra again, but have it a little more updated and "viola". Enter the 95 SC 5 speed.

Wanted a classy RWD DD with decent power, a lot of comfort, incredible reliability, and something that turns heads without attracting the cops.

Funny, tonight alone while trying to find a friends house, I got 3-4 compliments from random people in their front yards with family enjoying the 4th celebration. I'm just some random dude in a $5k car made in 1995 and getting compliments.

I actually bought mine after driving one, all of the little things add up to a great car. The a/c in mine is a ton better than even my new wrx. The stereo is a million times better. The car is a classic Lexus. That's why I bought it! and as someone else said on here: "it's like a breath of fresh air" on the road.

Agreed, but $30k - $40k?? It cost more than that new...And, you can spend a lot more than that when tastefully modding one. No ego intended, just don't understand the comment.
