why an SC
i also 4got to add that they dont attract cops and i guess not stolen often ? coming from a s14 i was always afraid to drive anywhere cuz of cops & theives. 240s are the new civics so i jumped ship and went big
At 43 I decided it was time for a FUN CAR. So I started renting various rides in cities and was going to buy a Corvette or a z28. That was until I rode in both cars. They were too small for my rather large self. Fast yes, but I still could not fit in them.So I watched the for sale section and saw a sc3 . Took a drive down to Sarasota and test drove. I fit in it and was happy with the way it rode. I did my research and realized it was a fantastic car. I have done some upgrades , Tires and wheels , suspension work , window tint etc. The gas use is all relative as I own a f150 and a Expi . So I am happy with the app. 21mpg. The car still get looks when I drive it around town. My kids are getting older so I do not need a bigger car ,and I enjoy the weekend drives with the wife.Sumo
Hehe, most of you sound like me, Well i don't own one YET. I will by this year, I fell in love with the car when i went to my 1st supra meet and i saw a DWP Sc300 with Gold GT-U's and a 2JZ-GTE running safe boost and pushing 700HP!...It was an Instant orgasm LOL.
I've been looking at my neighbor's SC for the past 5 years and last year she decided to sell it. Sold MR2, talked her into selling the parking slot where it sat and now have 3 parking spaces and an SC
I was in the market for a new car and I liked the way my friends 92 400 looked. I took out a loan for like 11 grand to buy his car and do everything I wanted to it. He ended up giving it to his sister but in the process I found my 97 Black on Black. I agree with everyone else about the HP potential. There is just something about having a luxury car that could run laps around all the little rice rats in my town.
Not that I would bother with that, but its nice to know you can at any time.

nothing beats just driving around in my right hand drive soarer... (sc) and coming to an intersection and all the on lookers are looking at ya... the power this thing has and the ride quality and just the overall style this car has... its mind blowing!!!
Funny, tonight alone while trying to find a friends house, I got 3-4 compliments from random people in their front yards with family enjoying the 4th celebration. I'm just some random dude in a $5k car made in 1995 and getting compliments.
I actually bought mine after driving one, all of the little things add up to a great car. The a/c in mine is a ton better than even my new wrx. The stereo is a million times better. The car is a classic Lexus. That's why I bought it! and as someone else said on here: "it's like a breath of fresh air" on the road.

Agreed, but $30k - $40k?? It cost more than that new...And, you can spend a lot more than that when tastefully modding one. No ego intended, just don't understand the comment.

- Shares the same chassis as a Supra, for the most part
- If swapped w/ a 2JZ , the sky is the limit when it comes to engine building
- Even with a stock powertrain, it still runs like a new car even though it has 180k miles and being 16 years old
- Can look like a $30,000-40,000 car if modded tastefully
