97 Front Conversion
Alright so I'm looking to buy the 97 front conversion, so far I've got the bumper, fog lights, and grille...

What do I need energy absorber? Reinf beam or reinforcement.
And are there any bolts clips or nuts I need to get along with that?
And i have searched.

You need the energy absorber (#11 in the link) or you can modify your old absorber.

Or you can just do without it.

Alright I'll just get the absorber, want a clean install. Will I be able to reuse all my bolts and clips?
And I'll have spent $736.58 shipped.

No, it is a cheap tool that will come in handy for the bumper
There is a bracket on either side of the bumper that connects the fender to the bumper. You will need a rivet gun to hold them in place...

Get the absorber from the dealer! Don't even bother trying to mod the existing one. I tried, and it's a pita.

For the cost of it - I believe it is definitely worth it. Try getting the bracket to stay in place while putting the nuts on the screws is awful without it...
Your call - personally the headache spending $10 will save is completely worth it for me.

gotcha. this is if you're going at it alone right? if you have someone to help you out they just hold it in place for you.
