Park lights not working ?
Problem solved. I swapped the yellow box (Lamp failure unit?) in the trunk with another and the beautiful red glow of park lights graced my driveway.

DAMNIT!!!!
So I go out with the car today and I noticed that the REAR park lights are out AGAIN! WTF!
I pulled the lamp failure module and sure enough same two resistors are burned to a crisp. I'm not sure how long my parking lights worked before this happened but i know it was a few days.
ANYONE have any ideas as to what is going on? It rained here all day today so im sure that this could be a problem due to leakage or something, but all my tail bulbs are in tact and working. I'm going to try changing out the harnesses and the tails to another set of 93's that don't leak and see if that solves the issue....
I wanna throw this thing in a river right about now....

Anyone besides me realize that the older style tails have a socket that has 2 contacts and not one?
Each harness has 6 sockets maybe 7 I can't remember right now. Each one of them has a single contact which corresponds to the 1156 bulb. Only one doesn't our of the 6 or 7. This one has 2 contacts in it. I'm thinking the 1156 bulb that was jammed into the socket in question is causing the problem.
I didn't pull the bulbs out when I inspected the harness because everything looked fine. Lesson learned!
Soon as I get another lamp failure module and the correct bulb I shall post up.

PM me, I have an FSM, and it has all wiring diagrams. I recently fixed my front parking lights because my diode burnt out, and the entire wire fried. I spliced into another wire, got a bigger fuse, and I'm set. 2 more lights on the same circuit won't do enough for the wire to get hot.
I hate the electrical problems I've had with this dumbass car.

Found the problem.
Out of the 6 sockets, 5 are 1156 and the other one is 1157. After I got the correct bulbs in there everything worked fine even with the messed up lamp failure module. Thats one less problem for me to worry about now =P

my parking tails went out too so i replaced the fuse and it worked for 10 ft. then it burnt out again. Checked all relays and bulbs and everything was fine. So i read this post to see if I could get any help.
I removed the lamp failure unit/relay and tried to open it and had no clue how to. I stuck 4 screwdrivers in that mother and it wouldnt pop out so i figured, why not start the car without it and see if your lights work after replacing the fuse?
Sure enough they work and so i took it out for a drive and mashed it on an empty street making the ride bumpy as possible and the lights stayed on. So hopefully this works for a while
