levoc knobs don't fit

Has anyone actually installed a Levoc knob onto their auto-tranny shift stick? I bought one today for kicks and spent hours trying to make it fit. First off, the oem black plastic yoke that holds the o/d wiring harness onto the oem stick is too thick and makes the Levoc knob depress the shifting button when it's in place so that when you're driving you can accidentally knock the stick into reverse or park. Second there is no way to measure the black rubber sleeve Levoc provides to cut an accurate length to cover up the oem rod---this black sleeve can also depress the shift button if it's too long. The instructions Levoc provides also tells you to unscrew and remove the white plasitc cap from the exposed oem rod and replace it with their own. Problem is that it doesn't unscrew, and can't be removed for that matter. When you rewire the o/d leads to the Levoc knob, you must of course splice wire, except that if you ever wanted to replace the factory stick from Lexus, the only way to do so is to solder the two leads back because wire crimps are too thick to stuff back in---thus you must buy a soldering gun (which I at least already had). And lastly, Levoc's return policy is a 30% restock fee!!!! And the installer that they referred me didn't know a thing about our car. If anyone can help me install this thing, it'd make my day. Otherwise I'll cut my losses and return it tomorrow.

I am about to go to a local salvage and have them pull knobs off anything toyota, just to see if anything fits. Have not checked the Greddy knobs yet.

Knobs for the SC3 are much easier to find than the SC4, I'm sure it'll be cake to find something that fits.

Nope, it seems like these knobs are made differently. Aftermarket knobs are too tall, at least what I have tried to put on mine.

I have a white one and it does fit! The only problem is that I can't find a secure way to screw it onto the knob.

You just have to mess around with it but it does fit. Check the gallery pictures, I have a white SC400.

Good Luck,
Tony

How'd you get around the shift button that is always pressed down? Mainly caused by that black strap that holds the wiring harness in place. I completely disassembled the clutch and there is no way to remove it without destroying it.

Ask Importtoys. Looks like they have one on Emeralds SC400.
