Well I want to replace the rubber trim that goes around the glass on my side mirrors because they look old and rotten. I was told by the dealer that I cannot just buy the the rubber trim, I need to buy the whole glass assembly which is alot of money. Is this true because it does not make sense...it should be sold separately from the glass..

how often does that go bad and which manufacturer is willing to manufacturer that when it is not an important fix?? Of course they don't sell it separately.

 

you have to change out the glass piece.. its one piece that snaps off and back in easily. i have an extra drivers side glass only in great condition if you want it. $30 shipped. cant help you with the passenger side though.
