Seems like a good write up on how to turn them into fog lights dunno if it will help in putting HIDs in them. Might have to get the 94-95 housing cause those are fog light housing i believe.

yeah..our turning signals throw light to the side..very little light shining forward...retro fit something behind the lens then do the hid

They wont be focused for driving as they are cornering lights which is why i didnt go hid route.Just rewired & bulbs

IIRC they are different, the 95-96 bumper is a bit different then our 92-94 bumpers

just take the whole light assembly out and throw in some nice fogs, then hid...thats what i'm planning..i'm putting in the fogs tomorrow, and see if i can make a "clean" bracket to remount the stock lenses over them..i'll post pics

thanks for the input guys i did find out that you can't interchange the 95-96 fogs with the 92-94 turning lamps b/c there are slight differences, it would have been nice to do be able to do that, i am still interested in rewiring the lights so they stay on i just don't like the fact that they're directed to the side, another idea i had was to just get the 97 bumper and that way it will already have the fogs plus i love the grill lexus added, i am interested to see how your fog lights turn out though turbodremz

Any new insight on this? I've modded them as fogs and actually like that it brightens up the corners. Here in Missouri, I take a majority of rural routes and are pitch black at night, it's really nice to see where my car is about to be while turning. I think the idea of 3k hid fogs pointing a bit outward is awesome. Any way to use an hid kit or super bright yellow LED in place of the 1156 bulb without modding anything?
