Default SC-300 speedometer change

Good evening every body
I am a new member in your nice forum and this my first thread
I hope that I find what I am missing

I own an sc300-1996 model, manual transmission with a 1JXZ engine but the normal one, NOT the turbo one
its speedometer is in the format of mileage
I would like to change it to be in the kilometer format
How to do that ??
I asked a lot, but I could not get a good answer
I hope to get find the answer in your forum

might want to check with some Australia guys...someone might have a cluster for sale...and those are digital and KM I believe...

^But won't swapping the cluster over be nearly impossible, due to wiring issues. I mean people here have bashed folks about wanting to do the analog to digi swap.

Personally, I would just say, deal with it, or find a soarer.

the only thing i would think is to try to find a jdm or canadian cluster??? anyone????

Well I believe the JDM will be in a digital format. But yes, a canadian one may be the way to go assuming they do come in kmph.

OP - where in UAE are you? My parents live in Dubai so I usually vist once per year

That's odd. You might have an SC300 with a 2JZ. I don't recall Toyota ever offering a SC with a N/A engine outside of the US.

Hey guys
First, thank you all for your help. I thought that there is a button to press so that the format will be changed, but, as I see from your replies, there is nothing to do with that.
Second, most of you did not believe that the car has a 1JZX engine but not the turbo one. Actually, it is the 2JZX but still not the turbo one.
I know that is confusing
Anyway, thanks again for all of you guys.
