My car's not handing right...

Long story short, I have been switching back and forth between the 16 inch stock wheels and my 20's, which very well be the cause of my problems.

With the dubs on, the car grips the road fantastically with the wider patch Kumho's, however, something just seems off. With the stockies on, there's noticably less handling capablity which is to be expected of course, and yet, something still seems off. I have had the car aligned, and all wheels are balanced. The problem is kind of hard to describe, it just seems really like the car should be handling better. When hanging a curve at uh, decent speeds (with either set of wheels on) the car will give you that feeling of rocking up and down, making it feel unsafe. Also there is starting to become a small noise when I take the car over curbs and large speedbumps, just a nasty crashing sound even though the bottom isn't scraping anything. I hope that made sense...

I'm pretty sure new shocks are in order, but this post was kind of a shot in the dark to see if other SC owners know what the hell it is that I'm talkign about :D

dubs are you serious get rid of them.... buy some staggered rims dude and get an alignment.

does it jerk left or right when hitting uneven spots on the road? My SC does this terribly, supposedly it is the ball joints. Which you have to buy new control arms to fix........

The noises sound like it could be your end links. Check them to see if they are broken.

if your car jerks right or left on bumps it may also be due to offset on the wheels. the bump steer radius changes when you lower a car and change wheel offsets and width. i would say first check all suspension components for wear.
