One bad strut (front), replace both?
I have a knock over bumps when driving coming from front left suspension. Front left fender well has 1 finger fender gap. Front right has 2 fingers. Same size tires. Is my shock/spring bad? Should I replace both front shocks at the same time or just the one? Thank you for your advice.
Yes, always replace them in pairs. Either both fronts or both rears depending on what you need to replace. This way they approx. equal amount of wear. How many miles do you have on them. Also check the spring insulators which is the rubber covers that protect the shock/strut rod from dirt and water, etc. They will eventually rip and fall apart. Also check bump stops and upper mounts.
If you're driving stock I have an extra front pair of struts with about 30k miles on them if you want. Just pay for shipping from CA. Another CL member gave them to me but then I switched to TT suspension all around so no longer need it.
