I just picked up a set of 18x9 +42 and 18x10 +37 GT-C's. People in my other thread recommended I use the tire sizes in the pics above (245/40F and 275/35R), but those look much too beefy for me, especially up front..

Should I go 235/40 in the front instead? 235/35? And maybe 265/35 in the rear? I dont want the tires to be crazy stretched, nor too beefy, just a good in-between clean look.

wow these are all really great cars I cant wait to put my widebody on from vertex its going to look great I also just purchased Varstoen rims 19x11 0 offset rear 19x10 fromt 0 offset you think I will need a spacer to fill any gaps with the widebody kit? this is how it looks now and this is what I have purchased so far

Yes, dropping a few inches is def in the plans. I was a bit surprised that I needed to do any rolling on Sat considering still running stock height but just in the ride from the shop to the house had started a very minor but clear to the eye rub line on the rear meat so something had to be done.

I see most are going with coilovers. Is there another approach, possibly cutting springs, that anyone has seen others try or is that ill advised? Also, do you see increased tire wear with slight camber or is it really only when it's done at an extreme?

I agree with you on the red and copper combo...very nice (clean) and different.

Not to downgrade my personal experience in the short period of time I've been at this but I'm just getting started here. What I can say for fact is I tried on the 245s at the shop and thought the same...that they looked too beefy in the front. I went with the 235s. I hope this offers some help.

I would stay clear from cutting springs. If your are not looking to spend a 1k on suspension, then youcan get megan coilovers or CXracing coils as well. another option is a shock and spring and setup. i would advise coilovers cuz its easier to install and its adjustable. becuase if you get springs then u will have to get shocks as well which will already put u at the price for a set of budget coilovers.

As always, Thanks BigWes. I've looked both of those up and they seem perfect (price/use) for me. Not looking to autocross or anything in this. Considering price, I may actually be able to get this in sooner than expected. I'm really focussed on exhaust right now but now may add this to the immediate project plan.

I would get the coilovers before doing the exhaust. I've heard nothing but good things about Megan EZ coilovers. Great bang for your buck.
