Those are some meaty tires my friend. I might end up going 275/45 or 285 like yours.

Have any of you had trouble clearing stock brakes ( i got a soarer, so sc400 would be a close comparison).
I am looking at work equips 18x9 +24 and 18x10 +24

that should clear fine unless it's got some weird disk on it

Keep in mind that once you go coilovers you'll probably have to do some slight alignment (i.e. camber) work and a little fender pulling to get it to clear without rubbing during daily driving. By the way, a 235/35 front and a 275/30 rear have the same sidewall height, if that's something that you notice visually.I know I do; I hate when people have thinner-profile tires in the rear on an RWD car, it just doesn't look right

I just had a thought - maybe get a matching set of front tires too so you don't have an uneven amount of grip front/rear... Nangkangs suck with traction, and with 500hp I'm pretty sure you'll want that traction up front when it comes time to stop
I mounted the rims on the car and they poke out about an inch, so do you think a 265/35/ 19 would give me a little better clearance?

265/35 you'd only gain a little less than 1/2" clearance for width BUT the overall tire diameter will be
0.7" TALLER than a 275/30. I know you want meat but it's a little tough to juggle wanting a meaty tire on a 19" wheel at a decent ride height (meaning not 4x4).

If the wheel is already sticking out an inch, chnging tire size won't keep it from rubbing because a 19" fills out the wheel well pretty good; you'll definitely need a fender roll, fender pull, and camber to get it to clear -

i.e. I'm running a 19x10.5" +15 in the rear with a 265/30 tire, my wheel sticks out about 1.5" at STOCK height (but I'm lowered on coilovers), and I needed all of the above so that the wheel lip would clear the fender whenever I hit big bumps or go up driveways at an angle.

Question...? Are you on stock ride height no suspension work? Such as cambered or etc.. ?

havent been on here in years but i just bought another SC and im keeping this one. so far this is my 3rd. ive been thru this thread and i swear my eyes hurt now. i was wondering if anyone has any input on 18x9 and 18x10 +20 offset. i plan on rolling and pulling my stock fenders and 1/4s but im curious if anyone has ran a +20 in a 9 and 10 wide. im told that they will probably stick out about a half inch. if so thats fine because ill be rolling pulling and flaring on all 4 corners with a eastwood roller. any input would be great thanks. oh ill be running a 245 40 18 all around too.

i have similiar offsets in the rear and the rears will definitely need to be rolled flat. x10 +20 will sit flush with the stock body. You have a little more room on the fronts and I'd roll em while you're at it.
