That's the same overall diameter I have run for a little while. I only had occasional rubs in the front in turns and rough roads. You should be okay with those. Personally, I'd be scared to roll around with such a small aspect ratio since roads here in OK are terrible. Biggest I'll ever go on this car are 18's.

I searched this and the general forum but, how would Scion xB wheels do?
o 18"X7.5"
o 114.3MM
o 39MM OFFSET
Seems like that offset is "better" than stock (a little more flush) and the width is a little wider than stock. Seems like an upgrade. I really am a novice so be gentle.

+40??? Don't they offer that wheel in a +25? I would go +25 up front w/ a 225 tire, and +25 with a 10mm spacer and 235 tire. Lower it about 2", and you should achieve the stance you want.

this is what they have to chose from on Discount Tires Direct. so i need to get +20 for the 3 inch lip. and maybe a spacer. not +40?
and i just installed my 1jz last night. and the motor must be lighter than a 2jz. cause the front end is like 2 inches higher lol i need some springs big time!

^, Offsets are relative to tire sizes, in terms of fitment. Are you wanting to stretch the tires or run them normal? The ones I listed are for non-stretch. Stretching allows you to run more aggressively.
The front end hasn't settled yet. Once the car rolls a little bit, the front end should return to normal height.

19's or 20's
Hello all, I am considering upgrading my wheels. I am considering 19's or 20's in the katana wheels Kr12-19 or 20. I've check with 2 custom wheels company, but they are giving me to different tire size. Tire Rack is giving me 245/30-20, and another company is giving 245/35/r20 - 255/35/r20. Which ones will work without a lot of road noise and rubbing. As of now, I do not intend on dropping my car as of yet. But I do really need some help!!! I am ready to start some mods to my SC400.. Thanx guys!!!
