the paint is what you should worry about if anything...

not gonna hurt anything if done correctly...

Have you got those offsets around the wrong way?

If not the 19x10 +37 will fit fine and be just proud. The x9.5 +43 will be just a bit sunken.

If the offsets are reversed then both will nice and flush.

I am running 18x9 +30 and 18x10 +38 and they are both flush with the rears just a touch proud.

Matt.

Question

Howdy!

I'm going to order some 18 Inch Sport Max Racing 962s [Gold/Machine Lip] going with the following fitments:

Front:
  • Size - 18x8.5
  • Bolt Pattern - 5x114.3
  • Offset - 35
  • Finish - Gold/Machined Lip
  • Tire - 245/40/18
Back:
  • Size - 18x9.5
  • Bolt Pattern - 5x114.3
  • Offset - 35
  • Finish - Gold/Machined Lip
  • Tire - 265/35/18

My goal is to avoid having to roll the fenders. WIth the above specs, could some of you tire/wheel gurus tell me:
  1. How the above will fit
  2. How the tire will relate to the wheel lip (over a bit-American; tight behind the lip-Euro, etc.)
  3. How the above will look
  4. Do you foresee fender modifications? (If so please recommend a spec that would not)
Many thanks in advance!

I am getting ready to order tires this week for my SC300. I already have the rims and am between tire sizes.....

19X8.5" Fronts @ 35 offset...thinking of going with 245/35R19

19X9.5" Rear @ 35 offset......thinking of going with 275/30R19 or 285.

With the rears, will I have to roll the fenders??

I plan on adding Tein Coilovers in the next few weeks and will install the wheels then! Just wanted to know if I needed to prep for the fender roll??

You proly will have to roll the rear with +35 unless you run crazy camber.

Default Best sizing quick?

I know I should take the time and read this thread and answer my question myself. But I need an answer quick. I found a couple sets of wheels online that I want to purchase but before I do I need to know if they will fit.

The first is a set of chrome Work Equips.
F: 18x9.5 +8
R: 8x11 +24

The second is a set of Work VS-XX in Gunmetal
F: 18x9.5 +28
R: 18x10.5 +31

The third is a set of Work Equips but 19's
F: 19x9 +22
R: 19x10 +22

Which ones will fit the best on my SC. I plan on rolling and pulling the fenders a bit anyway. What do you guys think?

The first set is going to be agressive as all hell. You will need a lot of pulling, camber stretching etc. If your not up for that, the 2nd and 3rd set would be better.

The fronts on BOTH sets will sit at the same position outwards
The rears will have a 3mm difference. 3mm more poking out on the 19x10+22

It depends if you want 19's or 18's. the 3mm isnt much.

BTW - The first set will sit...
front will sit 20mm out more than either the 2nd or 3rd set.
rear - 11mm more than 19x10+22 and 14mm more than the 18x10.5+31

CL Member Name: RexNICO
Rim Brand and Type: BBS RGR
Rim Size f/r: 18x9 all around
Rim Offset f/r: +35
Tire Size f/r: 245/45/18 Yoko ES100
Suspension Setup: Stock (I'm guessing original)
Comment On Ride: Can definitely feel the larger wheels
Fender Modifications: None yet
Any other comments: It's very CLOSE on the rears, and they just barely clear the brakes.
Picture: To come, once weather and day light permit

I had to swap out the 16" Momo's the previous owner was running the tires were so dry rotted, I was scared to drive any more on them.

I moved these wheels from my Q45 to my SC400

They will definitely be sunken.

Ideal offset for an 8in front would be about +20 and the rear for a 9 would be about +25.

That would give you a not quite flush fitment with only moderate rolling required for full clearance when lowered.

I run 18x9 +30 and 18x10 +38.

I'm looking at 18x8 and 18x9 rears with +20 backspacing all around. Will these look funky?

Thanks,
Ryan
