Hi all,

need some help with tire sizing for some wheels that i picked up for my 96 SC400. these were originally used on a 650hp 300zx so while the tires have tons of meat, im not sure they'll fit on the SC. current specs below...

Front:
18x9.5 +20
255-35-18

Rear:
18x10.5 +40
295-35-18

i plan on purchasing some BC coilovers soon and want to lower the car enough to looks aggressive, but not slammed. im not much of a stance guy and am trying to not have to run too much camber.

thanks for any help!

If you roll the fronts and shave the rears with a 1 finger gap all around, you'll probably be able to make those size tires work. If you want to be lower, then you'll need smaller front tires.

*Edit* Those fronts have a good lip, so you'll probably end up needing a spacer if you ever upgrade brakes. If you plan on running larger brakes, then you'll definitely need to stretch and run a smaller tire.

19x10 +10 offset might add 10 mm spacer(clear ls400 big brakes)
235/35/19
Rear
19x11.5 +7 offset
275/35/19 or 275/30/19

It Should fit no problem correct?
Has anyone done this set up yet?
I rolled fenders all around rear camber already installed.
Soon to purchase front camber kit.

Test fit my new wheels last night

Specs
iforged Aero 3 piece wheels

Front:
18x9.5 +20
255-35-18

Rear:
18x10.5 +40
295-35-18

stock (for now) suspension

wheels poke out 8-10mm front and back. Should look ok once I adjust the camber and lower the car.

i've been looking at a set of bazreias that are 19x8 +44 and 19x9 +31. was thinking of putting the 19x9 in the front and relipping the 19x8 to fit the rear to 19x10 which i guess would put it around +20? is that right? would that fit ok?

You're going to need a lot of camber, smaller tires, and a some type of widebody. It's doable with a few thousand dollars worth of arms and another couple thousand in bodywork.

Looks great. You should be fine once the fenders are modded and you lower the car.

The fronts will be a little sunken in. A 15mm spacer should be enough for you to clear LS brakes in the future and make the wheels fit better. If you relip the 8's to a 10, then it'll be +18 and will require a bit of a stretch in the rear.

thanks man, i appreciate the info! i was just trying to figure out the cheapest way to get these looking right, sounds like if i wanted to do it the "right" way i'd have to do barrels and lips. maybe it'll still be worth it.

Hey everyone quick question. Looking at a set of

19x9 +19 (235/35/19)
19x10 +19 (245/35/19)

Front fenders are shaved. Rears are rolled and. Will I run into any fitment issues on my end?

Depends on your ride height and camber, but overall you should be good with those sizes.

I'm wanting to put 315/25/19 tires on my 19x11 +38 rear wheels. I currently have the fenders shaved. I'm wondering if they will fit? I'm lowered on coilovers so I can adjust the height of the car.

I'm also considering a 305/30/19 on the same wheel but like the look of a massive rear tire.

I've never ran a tire that large, but I think you'll be alright depending on your ride height and camber settings. You may have to flatten out the tub above the fender lip for additional clearance for when the suspension squats on a launch.

Thank you for the replly! That's good to hear that it should fit. I want massive tires even though my car is slow. I'm not extremely low so hopefully it works out.

I was thinking about it after I posted yesterday and I remembered another member posting he had a 11+40 with a 335 in the rear, but he deleted his post, so I don't remember what fender work he had.

If your car is slow, then running a tire that large is only going to be make your car slower and get worse gas mileage. Plus larger tires are more likely to follow the curve of the road.
