****Official Wheel & Tire Fitment Guide for SC300/SC400****
#3061
Hi...nothing too crazy but I like the clean look:
1997 SC400 RSP/black w/ just under 47K
Infiniti G35 18" Rims +30mm offset, no spacers
235/40 front, 245/40 rear
Tokico HP struts and Tanabe NF210 Springs
Adjustable Benevento Sunroof Deflector (to minimize wind noise)
Not too aggressive, but looks better than stock--did not want too harsh of a ride. Offset definitely brings wheels out and fills out the wheel well much better. No rubbing. Had a blown rear strut and bent rear lower control arm, so car handles MUCH better!
Just bought a house, but saving money for BBK kit with orange (my fav color don't ask lol) calipers.
Get compliments for color of car, and choice of wheels too from strangers!
Need to modify the center cap to Lexus!
Thanks and have a GREAT New Year!
Danny

I picked up some 18" 7 spoke G35 rims with 245/45/18's front and back, no spacers on stock suspension and have been running them for last few days. I am rubbing when I back out of my driveway, slightly sloped, and when I go over dips in the road and sometimes when making sharp turns, mostly in reverse. Is there anything I can do about this myself? I like the look and the way my tires ride, Runway Enduro 916's but I do not want to tear up anything on my car. I can get a set of 235/40/18 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's for a pretty much even swap but they don't ride quite as well as mine do.
I am tapped on cash as I overspent on the wheels and tire combo. Worth it if I can work this out tho. Was thinking about taking a heat gun to the splash shield and stretching it out a bit to give me more wheel well room. Can't really tell where I am rubbing but I can sure hear and feel it from behind the wheel.
Any ideas or suggestions on how I can make this combo work or should I just make the swap? I have till thursday to decide.

****UPDATE: TEINS INSTALLED-NEW PICS****
I'm already in the first post, but here's more details.
CL Member Name: Jeremyp111
Rim Brand and Type: HP Evo
Rim Size f/r: 18x8 (f), 18x9 (r)
Rim Offset f/r: 38mm f&r
Tire Size f/r: 245/40/18 (f), 265/35/18 (r)
Suspension Setup: Tein Basic Coilovers
Comment On Ride: Nice and smooth. It's much firmer than stock with the Teins and 18's it rides well IMO
Fender Modifications: None
Any other comments: I absolutely love the HP Evo's on a Platinum SC. I'm not sure yet if they clear TT or LS400 4 piston calipers, but I will soon find out. Still running stock brakes for now.Picture:

It wont work. You need to pull the fender a little to get it in there with Just 18 x 9.5 +12 in the front. Plus having your fendor lip rolled nice and tight inside the fender well Dont use any Spacers it will be tight as it is. Good luck i bet it will look great no matter what. I just dont hink it wil fit with the Spacers. and your most likely going to need to pull the fenders i tad. Heres a picture of my +12 all the way around and how much it Sticks out.

I like maximum traction so I dont intend to camber it all that much. I like the way the wheels look on your car. It looks pritty Flush to me and when you drop it it will look very close if not perfect. I would Say No onthe spacers but im not in your shop so i dont see what you see so maybe you do need them. anyhow nice wheels
