Default Shattered rear glass

I was driving home tonight when suddenly I heard a bang. I thought my wheel exploded but I found out that the rear glass was shattered! It is intact but shattered with no holes. But before this happened, my defroster was on because it was foggy it happened right when I turned it off. Was my defroster the culprit? Dang! more expense! (I just fixed my starter, alternator and p/s pump! )

I was thinking its a good time to change it to the JDM ones with wiper. How much would your stock replacement be?

ypu need to check your fuse to the climate control or defrost fuse, some time it can cause an electric charge if the fuse blew, but if the fuse didnt blow then you have some condensation somehwere that cause it, ive had alot of friends that it happend to, and check your wires you dont want nothin touchin, that may cause it again after you have purchased and installed a new rear glass

AHahah yes it does. I'd rather just keep it clean and elegant.

Haha I have defrophobia now... I may not use the defrost for sometime (its summer anyway).

About the jdm rear glass, I never seen one installed and so I really cant tell if it ruins the lines of the sc. But I like it because its unique and functional

I would go for the JDM rear wiper glass because I used to own a Celica GT-S liftback and I really prefer having a rear wiper. It doesn't look pretty but I really like having a rear wiper.
