Default For those who use an Autolock brake/clutch lock...

Just wondering if you guys have issues with using an Autolock brake/clutch lock on your SCs. When I have it installed the base touches a black tube. I believe the black tube is part of the power steering system? Anyways, it looks like when you put on/remove the device it will wear out the black tubing sooner or later. Just wanted to see if you guys have any insight about this. I tried installing it 2 ways as you can see in the pics and it touches on each way.

Autolock uninstalled

Grind the foot part down. Also I believe the boot is to just keep engine bay noise to a minimum and to seal the column.

when i have mines installed, it's more leveled so it doesn't hit that part. like the circle part is right between the 90 degree angle on the autolock.

Ah I see, its kinda hard to get it to sit right because of how the brake curves. I have no problem installing it on other cars because the brake goes straight down.

So is there any fluid in that black tube or just wires?

Uh thanks for the advice I guess?

If they really wanted to take the car they could. The autolock, as with other security devices, is not meant to totally prevent car theft, but to slow down and discourage car theft. In my experience I have found it to be pretty firm on there and does not seem possible to "kick to the side". This thread is not here for opinions on security devices, but "For those who use an Autolock brake/clutch lock...".
