Just wanted to thow this out here to see if anyone can help. I have a '96 SC400 with electrochomatic mirrors. Someboday decided to knock my drivers side mirror just enough to put a hairline crack in it. Now...not only is the crack getting worse...but the dark fluid (electrochromatic) is spreading under the glass rendering the mirror useless.

To replace the whole assemble would be $800. All I really need is the mirror. I found a place that will sell the mirror part for less than $200.

Does anyone have any experience with this repair? Any recommendations??

I don't know how to replace the mirror but it would be nice to know where to get the replacement. Could you post the phone No. and address of the place where you get the mirror.
