my 95 SC300 has a brake light problem. the top of the lights work so do the directional lights, all of the bulbs are fine no damage to the filement, all relays and fuses are fine there not burnt out or smell burnt. i took everything apart since lexus wont touch the car since its modded/aftermarket inside/out. i narrowed it down to two items. either its the lamp failure on the driver side rear tire in the trunk, or this one peice i found that lexus cant find it in the computer that i showed them. they actually though i was joking and its not even from my car. the peice is under the steering colum. its a box with two plugs. on goes to the brake switch (line to brake pedal) and the other goes to some wireing harness i believe mabe to ecu not sure. any problems occur like this to anyone else and knows what to do. hope someone from a lexus dealer can help me out or anyone.

is it a aftermarket alarm or remote start? if they said they never saw it thats wat i would guess it was, that could be the cause of your problems and they might not want to get involved cause it could take a long time that im sure you wouldnt wanna pay for and they might not want to charge you for. take a pic and post it see if theres any number or markings on it
