Default Another option...

Hey guys. After trying to change the bulbs in my spoiler and having the piece chip and crack away while trying to open it... I looked for another way. Found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-9...QQcmdZViewItem

It's just under $100! New! It's not painted but hey, I'm thinking a new, shiny, metallic, light gray spoiler wouldn't look so bad with my pearl white. Shouldn't cost much to paint (my buddy has a garage and will do it at material cost and beer) and as long as you stay away from original colors it won't look salvage.

Are you going to change the spoiler over just the stop light? Dude that spoiler will not line-up with the factory holes. Any way $100+shipping+paint/ materials & beer= more then $178 + shipping for the LED stop light do the math. GL

I don't think the bulbs can b removed. Or maybe I don't know how

They seem to be welded or really STUCK onto the board.

Default 1999 SC400 Third Brake light LED's?

I am in the same boat. My spoiler light is OEM and has several of the LED's burned out. I have the red lens off and can remove and replace the LED's but am unsure of where to get them. Before I spend $200 for a perfect new one... I need to first spend 5 hours working on the old one, tracking down lights that might work and probably burn my fingers with the soldering. Please, anyone, help me...
