Default Question about tinting

I found a website that sells "pre cut" tint for SC's. The cost is about $60, but I have to install in myself. It would be cool to save $100 or so and do it myself, but it seems like that is one mod that should be done by a professional. Have any of you done your own tint? If so, would you recommend doing it, or having it done by a pro? Just curious...

dont even think about buying that

they sometimes don't cover the whole window, you get bubbles in the tint

its not worth it... go spend 270 bucks and get a premium black tint done, it will be flawless if done by a pro and it will be really nice and reflective like a new coat of paint :-)

I tried to tint my Honda Accord once, and I did the most horrible job in the world, leave it to the pros!

thank you for asking advise. dont go cheap on tint it will turn purple bubble and peel especially in the florida sun. u want the highest uv protection u can find. blocks out like 97% or somehing it saves ur leather interior. my tint only lets in 25% of light in . and i use aviation tint the stuff they use on airplanes. last forever. good luck

don't do 5%

15 and lower is going to start affecting your visability at night
if you wanna play red rover with deer
then by all means go ahead slap on the 5% tint

i recommend 20, still illegal where i live yet pratical and pretty durn dark

I've been researching a lot on the boards and it seems like my best option is 35% for the doors (or maybe 30% if I can find it, Missouri law is 35% but with a 5% margin of error. I learned that from my buddy Chris who has an SC and a ticket from the cops... ) and 20% in the back.

I think once the holidays are over I'll finally get my first mod in the books!

if its any consellation i have 20 all around and haven't been bothered once for it
35 is the law here in GA as well

i sat right next to a cop and he didn't do anything, also no seat belt lol

if you're worried that much about it, just roll down your windows whenever you see a cop, don't sacrifice style for the damn po po

i'm even debating tinting my wind shield 35%, its illegal to do that period
