RB26 has the same potential as the 2jz.

If you have the means to do it, why not? Thats the whole reason of doing a swap like that.

And to me, the RB26 sounds better due to its smaller discplacement. Though the 1jz sounds about the same as an RB26 (heads are very similar).

Its called being origanal. many people do the 2J or 1J swap, or just turbo the motor they got. the skyline motor probable even gets better gas milage over the 2jz cause its a 2.6L.
An AWD, GTR powered lexus would be sick...it would make alot of people drool and scratch their heads wishing they could have something so unique.
That one isnt awd btw and thats the only pic of the head lights i can find..i got a drift tengoku with it featured but you still cant see the lights that well.

Here is another RB26 powered Soarer (JZZ30), if not the same one a year or two back:

I dont know about you guys, but the RB26 looks right at home in that Soarer!

yup thats the same one...its b4 he painted the valve cover and added the other side covers under the hood, and b4 it was in featured in my mag, but in the mag it had the same wheels...now he's got new ones.

the fact that he v-mounted it is even crazier

Notice that the strut tower bar also doubles as the oil catch can...follow the hoses
