Default Introduction-the ride-progress-etc

Hey.. my name is Blair, I have been on the forum for quite a few years but just recently (5 months ago) got an SC. I have wanted one for ages and finally came across one from a friend and got a deal i didnt want to let go.

some of you may know the car. It is brandon (mongolkhans ) old SC 5 speed. It was deff. in the need of some TLC and Im giving it what it needs.

heres the state it is in now

wow, thats one hell of a wait for an SC... 4 year!?!?! so what are your plans for the car? thats a whole lot of body work, i hope you got it cheap! if you plan on drifting it, be sure you show Brandon how to do it.

i have already done one drift event in the car before it went for the bodywork and paint. deff. different from what I am used to but it went well overall.. did better than i expected. just need more power.. here is a pic from that event.

the car was bought as a drift car for myself.. i have had a few drift cars in the past, thats how i met brandon a few years ago. I use the car as a daily driver-drift car. the interior in all completely back in at this point.

that SC is sure beat up. I dont think the fun of drifting would justify that much body damage and repair $$$

well the only damage from the drift accident was on the pass. side.. i got the car with a new fender and black door with just the smashed up 1/4 panel. i was originally only planning on fixing the one side, but i ended up getting a killer deal fixing the whole car and repainting it all..there were numerous random dents and scratched being a 15 year old car.. so i said why not and im spending alittle more to get the whole car looking sexy again

Congrats on the car where in VA are you? For the power I would do a 1J swap or na-t with small turbo for quick spool.

thanks for the compliments.. i will deff have some more pics once i get it back

located in fairfax VA but at school in harrisonburg VA (JMU) most of the year

as for power im still trying to decide. the 1JZ is very appealing, but still i would love to do the 2JZ GTE or maybe even NA-T? so who knows. I have a supra 6 speed tranny Id like to use also (i got some time to think which route im going power wise)
